Please Support our Two Oceans Bumble Bee Runners

We are a group of eight runners who would like to make a difference while taking part in this years Two Oceans Half-Marathon on the 26th of March. We’d like to support 7 year old Aqueelah Mitchell who suffers from Spina Bifida.

Aqueelah lives with her dad in Mitchell’s Plain. She is a bright friendly young lady, a little shy at first! Medically she has been facing some difficulties as she has never taken weight on her lower limbs, she suffers from low bone density and frequent fractures. Her physios at Red Cross have recommended a “Snoekie” which is a standing wheelchair that will allow her to stand up, take weight on her lower limbs and increase the bone density and still allow her mobility. We would love to make this happen for Aqueelah. It will change her life, making her mobile and giving her some independence.

Please assist us in raising the R10 000 needed to purchase the “Snoekie”. To donate please click to donate via back-a-buddy.

Thanks from our runners – Andrew Bulman, Michael Smith, Taryn Hector, Dean Hector, Juanita Theron, Arlene Rielly-Spence, Alastair Spence, Aida Schutte.
